Learning at ONPS

Working with our community, we support every student to develop as a respectful, resilient and collaborative learner.

We strive to be:

  • Inclusive — valuing and celebrating diversity in our community, and encouraging participation by all in a safe and caring learning environment.
  • Academically rigorous — engaging and challenging all students to achieve, through consistent and proven approaches to teaching and learning.
  • Connected to community — creating opportunities for students to build positive relationships and contribute to the school and the local community, and keeping communication between school and home clear and open.

How we teach

We offer a rigorous program that targets learning to each child's areas of need. Being a small community school means we can readily monitor and track every student's growth and wellbeing, and connect learning to our local community and landscape.

Learning is supported by technology throughout the school. Reception to Year 2 classes use classroom iPads; from Year 3 to Year 6, every student has their own Chromebook.
